COMMERCIAL LANDLINE TAX CUT

Governor Rick Scott’s “Keep Florida Working” budget proposes tax cuts that have a widespread impact on Florida families and businesses. Governor Scott is proposing to cut the cell phone and TV tax, also known as the communications services tax (CST), by 3.6 percent. The tax cut will save every Florida family and business that pays for cell phone and TV services. In addition, Florida businesses will also save on commercial landline phone services.


Every Florida business that relies on commercial landline phone services pays 9.17% in CST. Governor Rick Scott’s “Keep Florida Working” tax cut proposal will save Floridians an estimated $470 million annually.
